February has several month-long observances. It's Black History Month, American Heart Month, National Cancer Prevention Month, and my personal favorite: Celebration of Chocolate Month. We celebrate Valentine's Day, enjoy Modernism Week, and party with the bears at the International Bear Convergence, which benefits AIDS LifeCycle and AAP - Food Samaritans again this year. In conjunction with Tito's Vodka, Event Co-Producer and Publisher of The Standard Magazine Nino Eilets has designated AAP as a beneficiary of IBC for several years, contributing more than $10,000 in total.

 

I'd like to remind you that coming up in March we have two great events that will also benefit AAP. First is the 12th annual 'Hollywood's Biggest Night' on Sunday, March 10 hosted by AAP Board President Tony Marchese's TRIO Restaurant. (Please note: The Academy has moved the starting time for the ceremony from 5 PM (PST) to 4 PM, so our famous 'Orange Carpet Arrivals' will start at 3:30 so we can have everyone seated and begin serving at 4. This year, the sparkling Bella da Ball will be joined by Eye on the Desert's Patrick Evans on the orange carpet!

 

Next up is Palm Springs Life's incredible Fashion Week El Paseo, showcasing leading and emerging designers. Fashion Week benefits several charities, and we are honored to have been selected as the beneficiary of one of their evenings: Tuesday, March 19.
