From the Executive Director

January 2021

What. A. Year.

2020 has been a year of constant upheaval and uncertainty. Every aspect of our lives – health, work, school, travel – has been upended. We've all had to learn to sacrifice and be flexible. To deal with the unknown. That's why I am so grateful that we've been able to continue our food voucher program uninterrupted, and it's all because of you. On behalf of the Board of Directors, volunteers, and most importantly the clients of AAP – Food Samaritans I thank you for standing with us this year. YOU made it possible. Thank you!

IF you have the means, I hope you'll consider a year-end contribution. I'm sending out this holiday/new year greeting now because there have been some changes to tax laws for 2020, and I want to encourage you to make a year-end contribution while there's still time. Please see the new charitable benefits of the CARES Act, below.

Of course there are other ways you can help in addition to making a donation, and here is one: The Inland Empire Community Foundation is offering a grant of $5,000 to three organizations. If you nominate us as your favorite nonprofit, we'll be in the running. IECF will randomly select three organizations from the Inland Empire to receive a $5,000 award! Please see below for more on this.

Thank you, and Happy New Year!

Sincerely,
Mark Anton
C.E.O./Executive Director
